Ever wanted to help the Syrian people, but wasn't sure how to make an impact?
Global Relief Trust is currently working to move displaced Syrian families from their wind-beaten tents into concrete homes with direct water supplies, bathrooms, kitchens and green spaces. The surrounding village will have a school, mosque, shops, as well as communal and children's spaces.
I will personally be visiting the site of this project in Syria in early Ramadan, and will provide updates of the progress.
These new homes will provide not only essential shelter from the weather, but also a sanitary environment, clean water and restoration of privacy and dignity for every family living there.
Development for this village is due to be completed by the end of July, ready for families to move into in August 2024. All homes will be legally owned by the beneficiaries with paper of deeds signed to them along with the keys.
This project can be funded via zakat or sadaqah/lillah.
